I’ve tried before with no success and wants to attempt again. So out of all the attempts this one was the only one that intrigued me. And it was even what I consider a fail. But I was determined to save it some how.
I started with brownish first layer of acrylic paint on the plate. Layed some shredded packing and a small wire wreath I made. Placed parchment over top and rubbed till most of the brown was picked up. Let that dry and then a layer of parchment/ yellow over that. Pulled and it was pretty blah! Better after it dried.
The 1st picture is before I started. Except for the stenciled vine at the top. Then I looked through some of my inspiration pics and decided to add some stenciled patterns, 3-D leaves, stamped berries.needed some shading around the wreath. Then I added one of my watercolor wrens a bit of moss.
I think it looks very vintage and I’m excited to pick the right frame option.
